Welcome to the Austin Animal Center (AAC) cat volunteer team! We’re all glad you’re here. 💪
My name is Surya and I am a volunteer here. When I first joined, I was overwhelmed. Online sessions, shadow shifts, presentations... it all came at me like a firehose.
Our MVP volunteer Shelly L said it's totally normal to not retain much from your orientation. But I hate forgetting something when someone has taken the time to explain it.
So I thought of compiling everything I have learned so you don’t have to feel the same way. This is not meant to be an official guide - there is one, and it’s very well written. The easiest way to access that one is from the Vicnet app.
But for now, let's get you started.
